I agree... too many messed-up kids in foster care, and we all know why - it's because their parents were incapable of raising them. Well, not cases of teen pregnancy and whatnot, but I'm talking about kids from abusive or broken homes.

Not even that, parents don't parent their kids anymore.
They let them do whatever.
I once had clients whose kids were out of control and they were touching some books their parents didn't want them to touch and the parents asked ME to tell their kids to not touch stuff.
Like no, I am not raising your kids, you should. Parents try so hard to be besties with their kids that it'll ruin their children.
These kids don't know the word no.

There's a huge lack of teachers here and part of it is because parents expect the teachers to parent their children.
My mom works in kindergarten and every year it gets worse. That and you have 75% of the children in a class that are "gifted", "bilingual" or have something wrong with them, so parents want the teacher to give them special treatment and different tasks suited for their child.
Like no, that's why we have special schools for that

Yeah this is related to something called Attachment Theory where by the age of 2 you will have what is known as your Attachment Style based on how your caregiver responded to your needs with your needs being met consistently relating to a Secure Attachment Style, your needs being met inconsistently relating to an Anxious Attachment Style, your needs not being met relating to an Avoidant Attachment Style and your caregiver being a source of fear relating to a Disorganised Attachment Style.
