A couple surprising things happened (1 Viewer)

1. I watched a movie (Schindlers List). I never watch movies.
2. I thought the movie was way more impactful than the book. That never happens.

Granted, I don’t think I’d be able to follow the plot of the movie if not for the book, and the book had more detail ofc. But the way it was shown and portrayed in the movie definitely left a much bigger mark. The book was written too much in an informational way I think, which made it feel less extreme than when acted out. But the book was way easier to follow.

another surprising thing is that i clicked on a thread which mentioned a movie and it turns out i have NOT watched that movie my knowledge when it comes to classics is very lackluster, but i'm glad that you thought it was good because it must suck to watch movies rarely and then when you pick one it turns out to be shit

I tend to get lucky with the movies I pick, I just don’t have the patience usually to sit through one, especially because I have a hard time following plots and characters in this case it did help that someone else was watching it with me and they could tell me who was who when needed

ugh we had to watch the German edition in 9th grade German class. ig the teacher thought we'd learn a new word or two or get the gist of how they talk, but noooooooope. it only bored me to tears. She was really more obsessed with WWII than teaching us a new language, anyway. The rest of high school German was way better.
