I recently saw something that I wanted to try at 2 different grocery stores, but both times decided I would get it later. I finally decided to get it and now I suddenly can’t find it anywhere. It was so present, I should have just taken the chance one of the earlier times

And if you’re wondering what it is that I was looking for, it’s blackcurrant concentrate. At this point I may just get it online somewhere

Ribena is everywhere here so you might have better luck at shops that import British products or just looking on Amazon since it's on there too at least the UK version.

I’m sure there are stores somewhere here that sell it, but it’s unfortunate that the stores I checked don’t because I go to those stores to buy other things also. But at least online options can be convenient also.

Yeah, Ribena is also everywhere such that there's ready to drink in cans/bottles too I think. There're also many knockoffs by other companies, tho not specifically blackcurrant as only Ribena seems to make it either cos of their formula or it's patented/copyrighted or blackcurrant isn't local.

I used to drink it lots when I was a kid in school i think(bk then had to be mixed as no ready to drink for sale yet). If I saw it in a shop here n I could send it to u vikki I would(probably cost hundreds if not a thousand bucks, let alone the tariffs/documentation needed to send liquids between 2 countries.

Probably not gonna buy any to drink as nostalgia for it isn't too powerful to overcome the syrupy sticky taste as I remember it. Even the ready to drink version doesn't compare to soft fizzy drinks like cola or mountain dew. Good luck in yr quest, hey maybe Asian grocery store has the ready to drink version?

I’ve never seen it at the Asian supermarket I frequent. Cultivating blackcurrant is illegal here, so I think that’s overalll led to blackcurrant products being not commonly found or popular here even though selling blackcurrant products is allowed. I haven’t even seen it at Eastern European stores and Eastern Europeans love blackcurrant (though I haven’t closely looked).
