Buying playbills off mercari.
Specifically Miss Saigon revival obc and Hadestown obc.
My mom said it was bc the the whole point of a playbill is going to see the show and i understsnd that
My reasoning is that miss saigon has shut down for good and Eva had been on Hadestown for 6 years and I don't think she plans to come back

Am I just being impulsive? Or is it reasonable?

I don’t really understand the concept to be honest, so I can’t say one way or another. If this is money you’ve earned on your own and it makes you happy… why not?

To me, wasting money would be spending money with an expectation that you'll somehow come out ahead (e.g. gambling) or buying what is functionally garbage (e.g. plastic nonsense to get in on a trend that you'll inevitably throw away later).

If you're buying what sounds like basically a souvenir that is treasured to you, I don't see that that's a waste?

I caveat that with: if you're buying things you want and will value BUT you're racking up credit card debt because you actually can't afford them, then I'd consider that a waste too, but in kind of a different category.
