The Fromm app is questionable (1 Viewer)

Fromis 9, SayMyName, and a lot of the Loona members use an app called Fromm to communicate with fans. It advertises 1 on one communication, lives, etc. Fromis sells a lot of special merch and their fan club stuff on the Fromm store. Also the way to pay for VIP and meet and greet tickets for the concert was in app. I specifically pay for Hayoungs content to support her. Its only $5.00 per month. You get to send 5 messages per day (what idol has that kind of time?!) and access to her lives.
Some interesting things I've realized:
The translate feature sucks. I question if some of the messages are actually written by any artist. Random spam will occur thats just either 3 or 4 consecutive numbers("222, 333, 5555". I poked around and found responses are sent from "Hayoung.bot" which makes me laugh and I wonder if some sort of AI is involved.
Idols don't respond to specific users comments but all their responses to member messages are are sent to all members. This makes sense as a safety feature for both the idol and the members. I don't think private conversations are a good idea anyways. The app is actually pretty terrible. Its only available on a phone or tablet which I hate. I can't watch on a TV or computer. Just kind of a review of sorts. It also makes me realize how much I miss vlive. HYBE sucks!!!!!!!

Bro I just don't think idol messaging services should exist, period. Like what happened to like, fancafes? Weren't those free? Same with Vlive as you said like.
I've heard that idols get all the pay from the app but I still think it's weird to, message your idols, even if they may not respond. There's gotta be a better way to interact with fans.

I don't disagree with you. The messaging seems silly and like a waste of idols time. They are busy enough as it is but... its hard for idols to make money, almost impossible in the beginning so if it makes that journey easier I'm all for it.
