I was away for some weeks because I'm very busy having mental breakdowns over my dissertation, but I just checked back in and this is accurately what it feels like:

Guess that's it for iKon, I can't see them surviving without Hanbin... seems like there's no end to the YG scandals

i am really curios how it will continue with Blackpink, how they will be affected by the happenings right know.. bit concerned :llama_squish:
Yeah, not gonna lie, all the previous BS didn't worry me too much in regards to BP. But this is baaaad now. YG himself and his brother gone meaning they're in desperate need for someone else to lead the entire company now but it also means that until they know what will happen and who will take over, all else is on hiatus. I don't expect to hear anything from Rosé in the near future, let alone anything about a group comeback.

I wish all of this could have happened early on in the tour, then the girls would've been sheltered from K-Media and busy being happy with their fans around the world. As it is, the Sydney concert is tomorrow and then they will have to face the reality of the mess that is currently happening at their company.

Hopefully BLACKPINK continues to find success and wont be affected by the situation at YG Ent.

Worst case scenario though (or best to be honest if this gets serious for BP), legally, the BP members could nullify their contract from YG on account of the issues surrounding the company, if the issues affect them that is. Essentially, if YG Ent's situation interferes with the career of BP to the point they start losing ad sponsors, appearances and boycotts etc, then YG have failed the group. If YG can no longer support, provide for and manage BP, then the members have the legal right to nullify their contract (even sue the company). The court will see that YG have failed their managerial obligation to BP to the point of BP's career being jeopardised, thus will allow the members to leave freely...

I hope BP will be fine, but there is no controlling public outcry and broadcast stations are already blacklisting YG (Mnet has stopped supporting YG music, since BS scandal). If a strong boycott happens from the public and broadcast station etc, BP can't do anything whilst at YG. They have to leave and I just hope that the members trust one another and find the courage to do what is right for them as a group. I believe they'll find all the support from their fans and even the public too, should the members decide to leave YG.
