There is a type of fungus that has been believed to have the ability to infect an ants nervous system. After being in the ant for a bit of time, they have the ability to control the ants movement. The fungus forces ants to fall into the soil where the fungus thrives and forces the ant to kill itself, providing food for the fungus to live. There is still debate on whether or not the fungus actually makes its way into the brain, or if it only has the ability to control the ants muscles, while leaving the ants brain intact.
