Lol yeah compared to Western food, it is indeed spicier but a lot of times it's not like burn your tongue and make you cry spicy, although there are a few dishes like that

My traditional food is quite rich so I end up eating small amounts.

But it doesn't help when people pile 2nds and 3rd onto your plate despite protesting. It's considered manners to eat 2nd or 3rd servings. The more you eat, the more it shows that you enjoy it. If you don't, it's almost as if you didn't enjoy the food. It's hard because I eat so little.
