Scandal disappeared, but now it's available their newest single. There're stuff on ITunes, but not on Spotify.

BENI and some of Jin Akanshi's albums. They have songs I really really like on my playlist. Then the next day, they all vanished or they're greyed out. I'm not sure what happened. Some of their stuff are there, but some albums are missing now.

Japan have lots of groups that don't on appear on the big music shows. So, I can see being difficult to discover them. Japan has way way more groups than Korea. People really have no idea.

I was also looking for a song from Tohoshinki to show for a friend. Turned out some aren't available in the U.S. I have the album but I gotta share the talent! :( And you're welcome! BENI has such a smooth vocal! 🧡

I haven't followed much on Japanese groups besides Perfume and Kalafina (sad they broke up). I'm gonna give those a listen! I didn't know there were more groups!

For me, I enjoy J-pop so much more than K-pop. I love Japanese solo artists the most.
I don't really follow idol groups from Japan whereas I love K-pop idol groups.

Tbh its always going to happen, although I havent seen kpop fans crapping on jpop. The few jpop videos Ive seen everyone was crapping on kpop, so I dont think its a one way thing.

Well Jpop is alot more than just idol groups. I only really follow jpop idols though. Even some really not that good ones. They're cute though haha.

If jpop would be as available to the west as kpop is, my ult bias group might have been a jpop group. PassCode has the musical punch that Dreamcatcher lacks. There are also Broken by the Scream, BiSH, Ladybaby, Q'ulle, and many more.

Personally I've not had any issues with J-pop being inaccessible really. Other than not having interviews and stuff subbed (which I can deal with I'll still watch and understand 5% anyway lmao) I've not had trouble finding music and new music. Also helps that Spotify has loads of J-pop ~

I agree it's accessible to some extent; but the extra mile that the kpop industry go to make it more accessible to the west has made all the difference to me. Yeah, I totally understand. I find myself more invested in K-pop in the way that I get to know more about the members of each group since there's so much content. (with subs!)

Spotify definitely is my go-to for new J-pop albums since sometimes YT only has 'short ver' 😞
I also love listening to music without being distracted by visuals so Spotify is great, the only thing is ads because I don't wanna pay for premium but I can live with that. 😆

(a lot of people back in time used to not think highly of jpop so things haven't changed?)
I love jrock too, I am more into jrock, I feel a litte bit upset when people don't understand the importance of jpop I mean a lot of kpop groups go promote in Japan because there are like the 2 biggest music market in the world, respect

All the videos I see its just K-pop fans crapping on J-pop artists saying they're untalented and can't sing. Orrr if the artist/group has sexy or mature image then they're copying K-pop.
