Rumor JYP Entertainment Female Idol’s Alleged Relationship Exposed With Member Of Top Band (1 Viewer)

There is a 9 year age gap.

On November 4, Japanese outlet Shukan Bunshun, similar to Dispatch, revealed that they were going to expose a relationship between a member of Mrs. GREEN APPLE and a top female idol.



The outlet then revealed that the pair in question was Hiroto Wakai (29) of the top Japanese group Mrs. GREEN APPLE and JYP Entertainment girl group NiziU member Nina (20). According to the tweet, the two are “in love”



The article revealed that they had a “secret date” until 2AM with photos as “proof.”

While NiziU’s label, Sony Music Entertainment, claims the relationship is just junior-senior, Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s company said they were leaving the personal matters to their artists, adding that some parts were not “factual.”

I think the issue in this situation is more the age gap between the parties

Age gaps issues aren’t exclusively dependent on how big the gap is. I assume you’d agree that a 60 year old marrying a 70 year old is way more appropriate than a 10 year old marrying a 20 year old? I know that in the Niziu situation neither of them are 10, I’m just bringing up extreme examples because it makes the point very easily.

for example you mentioned Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra - the ten year age gap doesn't even come into it because both nick and Priyanka are both established people in the entertainment industry - there is very little power differential between them

in this situation nina is relatively new to the industry and may not has as much experience which is probably more of an issue than the age gap per se

Not to mention the difference in power men and women tend to have in many cultures. Swapped gender ages would still be kinda weird, but maybe less so because of the typical power difference there
