The numbers can vary, but 13-14 species are often credited as being named after Obama. These can vary from spiders, to turtles, to lichen. Interestingly, there also exists a genus name that has Obama in the name, but is not named after Obama and is just a coincidence.

Usually it’s just part of the scientific name and all are pretty different. Some examples are Spintharus barackobamai (a spider), Tosanoides obama (a fish), and Obamadon gracilis (a lizard).
