This is a common philosophical difference I tend to be at odds with many on.

I like to build up rather than tear down.

In the context of this forum and "kpop" it leads me to often be viewed as perhaps a Pollyanna and people may see me as ignorant of flaws or unable to assess criticism in idols or groups or music releases, etc. One might even term me.... Delusional.

And I often invite that by my commonly exaggerated exuberance over idols or releases etc.

It's not that I don't see flaws. I simply don't find enjoyment out of voicing them and focusing on them.

What I've found is I don't find personal satisfaction in tearing down.

If I can't say something positive I often keep quiet or offer merely muted criticism. I hardly ever make threads that are negative in nature.

Often negativity is what draws numbers in threads and sometimes a good takedown can be a delight to read.

But I don't personally enjoy giving voice to that.

I'll let others handle the heavy criticism and takedowns.

What I enjoy most is building people and ideas up. Giving them an excited voice to champion what they stand for and what they've risked by putting themselves out there.

I think that perspective. That cheerleading is often needed to counter an often times overwhelming focus on the negative.

I see myself a cheerleader. In many respects.

Or if you want your hip hop analogies... A hype man.

I want to point out what is offered. Not point out what wasn't.

I want to build. Not break.

Something in the middle I guess. If I need to give a feedback I try to say what I like and dislike (so the person can improve), especially if he/she asks for feedback. I always try to say ‘good job’. But I’m honest and when I don’t like something I voice it xD I prefer that, I don’t wanna be fake

I give people advice or feedback if needed to help get better. When someone ask for me for feedback for what they need to do to be better, I would tell them straight up, but in a way that uplift them and not destroy their dream.

I build people up definitely more than tear down.. though that sounds bit conceited put in that way. I don't think i have that much influence over someone to do either xd But what comes to people i'm definitely more supportive type, it'd be just rude to insult others and point out their flaws. Not that I don't ever do that, but not without being prompted at least.

In terms of products though, i see no point on just praising. I like to be critical and analytical.

I try to be as supportive as I can. Sometimes people need to have someone just be there for them and I tend to be that person.
Irl I got alot of people that randomly rant to me and look for my support.
