Me and my family don't celebrate Christmas.
( For my mother, it's religious reasons, for me, it's because I do agree with her why we shouldn't celebrate it, even though we don't share a religion )
BUT we get presents. Even though we don't get a tree and all, we still like to make ourselves cozy by the couch with the heater on and watch some movies, eat some chicken and cook like on Thanksgiving but dialed down.
I cannot wait for Winter Break since where I used to live, Thanksgiving and Christmas and Spring Break, ( are there any other breaks I'm missing...??? ), the break would be two or one and a half weeks long. Here we have more school and Thanksgiving Break was less than a week long ( 6 days but COME ON, that's NOT a week ) But thank the gods Winter Break is two weeks :>

You can celebrate New Years with presents and stuff. The USSR was anti religion and basically took the secular aspects of Christmas and transposed it into New Years and that’s still the system to this day in Russia. Ofc some Christian Russians celebrate Christmas also, but for the secular ones they get all the Christmas stuff (gifts, trees, a nice meal, etc) without needing any religious connotation.

Not religious and family don't celebrate Christmas.

But Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love everything about it.

I always try to do something festive. I just visited a Christmas market this weekend and another 2 weeks ago. I like to watch Christmas movies while drinking hot chocolate. My brother and sister in law also has a Christmas tree and every yearthey want the family to contribute a meaningful ornament so every year I'm always on look out for an ornament to contribute.

I'm a huge celebrant of Christmas! My entire apartment is decorated for it (there is a garland on my desk, for example). this is the very first year I've decorated on my own, and I love the way it turned out! My caregiver C and I are, I hope, going to make Christmas cookies today while we listen to Christmas music. That's how into it I am!

Anyways, I'm looking forward to Christmas. My sister and I don't follow our family's religion, but we celebrate anyway. I am a bit saddened because we've had celebrations with my sister's friends in the past, but not this year :/ She's been having problems with them
