Ador's full statement​

Following the court’s final ruling in the lawsuit confirming the validity of the exclusive contracts, ADOR has held extensive discussions with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and the families of the three members.

Hanni visited Korea with her family and engaged in long, in-depth conversations with ADOR. In the process, we revisited past events and took time to view matters objectively. After candid talks, Hanni decided to respect the court’s ruling and continue with ADOR.

Minji is also in talks with ADOR, and discussions are ongoing to broaden mutual understanding.

In Danielle’s case, we determined that it would be difficult to continue together as a NewJeans member and an ADOR artist, and today we notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract. In addition, we plan to pursue legal accountability for one member of Danielle’s family and former CEO Min Hee Jin, who bear significant responsibility for precipitating this dispute and for NewJeans’ departure and delayed return.

Through these conversations, ADOR learned that, over a long period, the members had been continuously exposed to distorted and biased information, which led to many misunderstandings about the company and ultimately to this dispute. The company and the artists agree that, to regain the love of fans and the public, it is necessary—even if it takes some time—to fully dispel these misunderstandings based on accurate facts. We have also agreed to find an opportunity to address the various controversies that arose during the dispute and are discussing the timing and manner.

ADOR will do its utmost to bring this matter to an amicable conclusion and to ensure that NewJeans can return to fans as soon as possible.

The fact neither Minji nor Danielle were able to come to terms where as Hanni was while she wasn't even initially in Korea is already not a good sign but the fact that Danielle must have really stuck her heels in against the reality of the situation that she got shown the door is another level.

Good luck to Danielle since she'll need it and hopefully this takes some of the heat off Minji and Hanni seeing it does show they and their families were talked sense into enough where Hybe sees themselves able to work together without drama.

Sounds more like making sure at least 1 incalcitrant member is punished or as above Danielle had too many demands the other members didn't.

I'd believe more in Dani being punished unless more details otherwise surface(about her demands or other info why ADOR decided as they did). Sad for Dani n bunnies who want OT5 bk together again 😔😟🙁😥😞

If she is under an exclusive contract and has already been an adult for 2 years anyway she should know better than going to sign another contract while she is already under one and in such sensitive situation. Like I don’t find it logical to take her side only because she is the less powerful side. I will wait to see what are the grounds on which she has been sued and then judge.

There's also the aspect of NewJeans are ice cold right now because of the inactivity so Danielle is fighting an uphill battle of starting a new route of her career with no momentum at all versus if she had waited out her contract and dipped by 2030 even if Hybe wanted to add the time lost then she'd be mid 20s and could carry whatever momentum NewJeans have into a solo career for herself without the termination fees but also avoiding her mother getting hit with tampering costs as well.

It's not a good move for her life let alone her career but seems like Danielle and her family just aren't going to grasp the reality of the situation until it's staring them in the face unfortunately.

When I read over the statement, I got confused because it doesn't say that Danielle was the one who did it but the company terminated their contract with her and they placed the blame on her unknown family member and Min Heejin. That's just my take though.

If nothing else, I think HYBE is basically obligated to give them a legit comeback at this point, after they argued in court for months that they totes weren't sabotaging MHJ/her group and they've been eager and waiting to give them more releases.

I think at the very least people who will still support the group without Danielle should take it as a good sign that Hybe is letting negotiations play out and some just reached an agreement much faster than others with Minji still negotiating however with Hybe saying things are going well as to reassure she's likely staying while also Hybe asking for some things from Danielle so she was sticking to her contract and her refusing so she got shown the door.

It saddens me that Danielle has to go through all this but I'm also glad that she got out.

NewJeans had, what, 2-3 years left on the contract with ADOR? I would have liked to see them stall and remain inactive for the remainder and then have a massive comeback as NJZ instead of going back and be miserable and given dogwater comebacks until their reputations tanks completely. I don't think they'd be forgotten in that time and even if they were their brand is big enough that eyes would have been brought back and everyone would be curious about it.

I've not really deep dived into the details and legalities of the situation but I have a general idea of what is going on and I don't see any excuse for indebting someone barely out of their teens for life over an ad-contract or whatever the alleged violation was, it doesn't really matter when a massive corporation is trying to destroy someone who is barely an adult.

I definitely think there should be a fine for a contract violation even though i 100% support Danielle, the law is the law and it should sting to break it but the numbers thrown around are just ludicrous. That said I don't think she'll actually end up having to pay all that and ADOR knows it, it's more likely a way of breaking the members up and defaming them to the point where they can't be successful in the future. Both to make an example out of them and also so that when their contracts inevitably expire and they spill the beans nobody will take them serious.
