I always feel pressured to come out when I turn 18 since the media heavily influences me... I don't think she'll ever understand, even if I say, " but God loves everyone..." But... We can't rule out any hope

But what to do if there are intolerant and narrow-minded family members? Move when you are old enough and when you can afford it. Live your life.

What else could you do? Arguing? Here's the point: everyone with internet access can find tons of information about every sexual orientation. In (almost?) every language. If people would be willing to learn and invest some time, there would be more than enough chances to change their opinions.

me, really. I had internalized homophobia a couple years ago, trying to " fix" myself and not like anyone but men and be a perfect cis + het girl for my mom and my friends, ( which some were homophobic and they said, " Being gay is a sin, God disapproves" ), and I prayed and cried to God to " Get rid of this mental illness, please" And I wish someone would tell me that I shouldn't think of these awful suicidal thoughts just because my mom or " friends" didn't understand me.
" This is the college you go to when you are done with highschool" My mom once said
And I doubt I'll get any money to move before then. But I hope that all is gonna be okay ...
