Well, not exactly. We’re still like two or so hours away from home (if we don’t stop). But I just wanted to give y’all an update on my uncles funeral.
The service was Wednesday morning, and both of my cousins (let’s call them Lawrence and Joy) and Joy’s partner (calling him Jesse) gave little speeches about how much they loved him. I didn’t think it would happen bc I rarely cry at funerals… but I lost it at Jesse’s speech. I didn’t cry per se, but I did tear up. But omg Joy was a hot mess by the time she was done talking and ran straight into Jesse’s arms.
I have one more story to tell, but I’ll save it for another thread.
