it was the peak of kpop (other than 2nd gen ofc but back then the forum didn't exist) as well so a lot of memorable releases happened and it was fun to fangirl over them on ks

got event was super busy too, i may have abused that system with sana and kuro (that's how my ship happened, literally the forum equivalent of a drunken vegas wedding)

i love and hate the cards system because while it did make the forum really active for a while i feel like a lot of threads are better off as update posts in artist threads... imho there just isnt that news every day worth full forum discussions on if that makes sense?

Alternate POV from me, I migrated from other foraa(OH & the unnamed) n i always couldnt navigate others as the UX/UI was unfathomable to me or just the threads seemed unnavigable then or later). Even now another active forum is much more active than KS but artist threads arent updated/read/active much, same as here. There's no card game there to blame it on so.....I don't think artist threads would be updated much here even without the card game; I think too many inactive groups/idols and nugu or just plain fewer users reading artist threads. Contrast with tat other more active forum rn.(I still once in a long while miss the forum started by Juan, tho I got bad rep with 'em later I still fondly rmbr the beginning when I tried to juggle between KS n HC, it was more navigable(to me) than OH n the unnamed). N HC had events where you could get special stuff to display temporarily during promo events tat kept me active while I remembered the event.)

The con of the cards is tat newer users(even 2 or 3 yr veteran users) are disadvantaged by the sheer number of cards tat they cant easily get their faves unless they grind for yrs(idk how many yrs total it took me before i completed all korean commons + rares but it was way too many yrs).
