America, what are your plans to celebrate?

My mom was supposed to pick me up this morning and take me home to her and my dad's house, but I'm willing to bet she had a bad night last night - she constantly struggles with insomnia, so... but ANYHOO, if and when she takes me home, we're going to grill out with their brand new grill - burgers and hotdogs with potato salad and coleslaw! and then we're going to watch the fireworks. My mom says we can see them from their backyard, so I'm stoked for that!

I painted my nails algae green and bought my dog a bone to distract her from the chaos. I liked fireworks more before I had a pet who got so terrified of them. Plus just lots of people who are out and about, so lots of unusual traffic, etc. in the neighborhood.

Awwww I used to have such a dog, too. He was so terrified that he was panting heavily and shaking like a leaf.
