Yunjin (Jinni/Jini) is one person I couldn't blame if she resented her "fans", people have been treating her so bad ever since she was removed from Nmixx and for what? Reasons that weren't disclosed and with all signs pointing at her being removed against her will. Let's put this into perspective; girl trained for 7 years only to debut and be removed within a year absolutely shattering her dreams, where do you go from there? Her friends aren't allowed to aknowledge her and the fans who swore everlasting love turned against her and call her a "betrayer".
The only somewhat fair criticism I've seen towards her is that ONE occasion of her acting disinterested on a call-event which was clearly edited out of context for those who even bothered to look at the whole thing, those who know her also knows her personality is a bit distant (I personally think she's on the spectrum but that's speculation and neither here nor there) and frankly I wouldn't have blamed her even if she was disinterested considering how she's been treated.
What prompted me to post this is that for what feels like ages now people have been complaining that she doesn't post anything, she doesn't care, etc and she finally posted some selfies today and basically every single comment is complaining about it, saying that she's had plastic surgery or that they are going to unfollow her for not announcing a comeback - this is despite her debuting in OWIS which she isn't allowed to disclose for reasons out of her control but any fan would know.
I've seen a lot but never have I seen an idol be treated this poorly and unfairly and I dare anyone to give me an actually good reason because there isn't any, and don't come at me with "Well, she announced a comeback at the same time as Nmixx that one time" because that is an hilariously stupid argument, of course you should capitalize on the connection with Nmixx (as laughable as it is to think that she had any say in it and not her company) anything else would be bad business and I dare say she deserves to capitalize on it after investing nearly a decade of her formative years with JYPE with almost nothing to show for it.
Nobody needs to be a fan of her and can believe what they want but absolutely everybody should be treating others with dignity when they don't have the facts of a situation and that includes idols who are every bit as human as the rest of us. Walking away if you don't like it is easy and choosing to put your effort into being a toxic waste of space says nothing about anyone else but everything about you.
