has K-pop influenced you to try Korean food? (1 Viewer)

for me, yes! In fact, I geeked out when I found out there was a Korean restaurant near me. Their japchae noodles and Korean pancakes (I forget the Korean for this lol) are to die for!

[Snailmin]

Yes I also love japchae and many other Korean dishes that I probably never would have taste if it wasn’t for kpop

[HyuneSuga]

Yes I tired Korean chicken and loved it and I'm normally fussy with my food

[Pirioca]

Not Korean food but since I listen to Japanese music, I'm more interested in Japanese food (dishes like homemade Ramen, Karaage, Nitsuke).

I have never really tried any Japanese outside of sushi and yaki udon. But then again, I lean more towards Korean lol

You've never tried Ramen? It seems to be popular in Korea too.

Not just Korean food, it influenced me to try more food from other places

I've added kimchi to my regular on stock foods.

[TrinityJade]

Yes lol
But my family can't tolerate a lot of spicy food so we don't go often
So instead, we eat Sino-Korean foods, like jajangmyeon

what's the diff between Korean and Sino-Korean?

[TrinityJade]

what's the diff between Korean and Sino-Korean?

Korean is like traditional Korean food, like banchan and kimchi for example
Sino-korean is Chinese (mostly Shandong) and Korean food, and it's adapted to Korean tastes, with soy-based sauces and deep-fried dishes
Some examples of sino-korean dishes are jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk!

[Villains]

i have tried some korean food but i don't think it was my cup of tea
