I don't use them but I believe in them, in a time where people spend more time online than outside to meet new people, it only makes sense. Plus I've heard numerous love stories where it worked, so it really happens. Of course there are some risks but you're not fully protected from bad surprises with the guy\girl you met at a club or elsewhere either. You don't really get to know someone during one single evening. Some people find easier to open up online and I'm one of them. Never will I talk to a stranger IRL. Men find me beautiful, but I just can't flirt back. So its less likely that I'll meet someone that way. All my relation so far, I've met them through my job or school.

It's so much easier to talk to someone over the phone before meeting them because you kind of have an idea of this is who they are, this is what they do, I'll still be careful but at least let me try to have fun because I've talked to them a little bit. I did this a couple of times and honestly, I used to employ it as a self-esteem booster. I liked to see how many guys would like my profile and I think I used to love the feeling of maybe having occasions at my disposal, but then i would chicken out and never answer.
