I’m very picky when it comes to female rappers in K-pop (really rappers in general) but I didn’t hate Yeri or Irene’s rapping. Sure there was some songs where I think it sounded off but I never dreaded hearing their rap verses.

I'm also quite picky when it comes to rappers.. And I certainly wouldn't ever say that Yeri or Irene are the best female rappers. Not even close. But then I understand that they didn't join SM to become rappers. Irene especially. Whilst RV were preparing to debut, SM got all the girls to rap and they decided that she was the best at rapping (and she was training as a dancer)

Most of their ballads were so meh to me… They have Wendy who is always recognized for her strong vocals and then you have the other girls who also have lovely voices but they always go with the more safer ballads. I wanted to hear something interesting and unfortunately I felt like that was missing from their discography.

I enjoy listening to RV's velvet side. But for me they pale in comparison to the OST duets that Wendy & Seulgi have released.

In the songs Don't Push Me and and Only You, you really get to experience the high notes that Seulgi possesses but is excluded from RV songs. This is why I want those two to debut in a sub unit together. So that they can explore their vocals to their full potential with more challenging songs without being held back.

Omg I applaud you for the time it took to do this. There are some where I strongly disagree (like giving Happiness a 3/10 😭) but we all have different opinions and I think the other ratings are understandable. I'm super glad you had Peek-A-Boo at a 10/10! It's my favorite k-pop song of all time so I'm happy to see it get that score. Also idk if I agree with 4/10 for ICC but I DO agree with giving Automatic a better score. Automatic was the superior title track from that album in my eyes.

Anyway, I admire the work you put into this and I'm glad you found a lot of songs that you enjoyed!

You'll be happy to know that Automatic has been growing on me more and more since I first listened to it . I love the whole vibe of the song and honestly I'm really interested to see if they'll do something similar to it soon.

And yes Peek-a-boo is a blessing to the K-pop world
