News Kyoto Animation hit by devastating fire (2 Viewers)

"A man started a fire at a Kyoto animation studio after spraying liquid there Thursday morning, leaving nearly 40 people injured, with several of them unconscious and one confirmed dead, local police and rescuers said.
The fire started around 10:30 a.m. at a three-story studio of Kyoto Animation Co., a company known for producing popular TV animation series “K-On!” and “Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu” (“The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”).

The man believed to have set the fire, apparently in his 40s, was among the injured and has been taken to a hospital."

Renowned animation studio Kyoto Animation which is known for anime classics such as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Clannad, K-ON and Free! has been devastated in a fire that was intentionally started by an arsonist.
Some reports have confirmed 1 death, whilst other reports are saying that there are multiple deaths (hopefully I can give a clearer picture soon). There have also been more than 30 reported injuries with around 10 in a critical condition.

This is truly sad and shocking and my thoughts are with the victims and their families :(

Thankfully they've got the person who did it (I reckon disgruntled former employee)

I'm keeping an eye on the news for updates. Last time I checked there was 1 reported death and 10 in critical condition :( and I hope that the death toll won't rise any further than it already has.

There were a lot of deaths unfortunately. Condolences to the people who died. KyoAni is one of my favorite studios too No one deserves this.

Omg that's just so devastating. Even one life is too much, but over 20 in completely unnecessary and insane act like this. It's just too sad.
