My favourite film of all time is Sofia Coppola's 2003 classic film 'Lost in Translation'.
Starring Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. 'LIT' is based and filmed in Tokyo and it follows both Murray and Johansson who portray characters at completely different points in their lives as they share a common issue with trying to get accustomed to a culture and language that they don't understand.
I remember wanting to watch this when I was a lot younger and even though it wasn't the usual type of film that I was interested in. I really enjoyed 'LIT' as Japanese culture and Tokyo was something that always interested me. I was also a huge Bill Murray fan. And what isn't there to love about Scarlett Johansson?
It's also now amusing rewatching this film and reflecting on the number of times that I found myself lost in translation whilst navigating my way around Japan....
