I have succeeded in finishing listening to a groups discography in under 2 weeks
So how I do this is very simple: I listen to the groups Korean discography (minus collabs, solo projects, OST’s, etc..) rate them as I listen and with some albums I will talk more in depth on my thoughts/feelings. After the ratings of their songs I’ll move on to talk about some of my dislikes, likes and overall thoughts at the end. Just please remember this is just my opinion, if you disagree with me that’s perfectly fine as these threads are just made for some fun discussions and fangirling/fanboying over K-pop, all the good stuff we all love.

Breaking Sensation (EP)
Easy Love (8/10)
I think the biggest thing that kept me from giving this a higher rating was the fact that it constantly picked up in its beat and then slowed way down. It sort of took away from the experience because I had to get back into the song every time it slowed back down again although that may change the more I listen to it. My favorite thing was Rowoon, Inseong and Taeyang’s parts.
Watch Out (7/10)
I was torn on what to give this because at first I really liked the song but then I heard the ‘Lalalala’ and ‘Bow wow wow’ parts… I’ve only begun listening to their discography but they do that quite a bit in some of their other songs like Fanfare, Jungle Game and Roar and it’s too repetitive for me to not be bothered. I don’t mind it in other songs but just seeing it very commonly in their music makes it very uninteresting for me to listen to. I didn’t hate the song, obviously since I gave it a 7 but those parts were big turn offs for me.
Hide and Seek (6/10)
I’m so conflicted with this song! It’s good and I like the vibe of it but something sort of just felt off? Like I couldn’t completely immerse myself into it and for that reason I gave it a 6, maybe with a few more listens I’ll enjoy it more.
Fall Down (7/10)
I liked this song it was nothing amazing but it sort of reminded me of older music which I always love a song that makes me feel nostalgic.
Why (5/10)
Hmm… I couldn’t really get into the song, it’s not something I would listen to again if I’m honest. I think they sounded good but it’s just the song sort of felt empty and I guess not the type of song I like to hear from Sf9.

I at first was feeling meh about this song because the first part of the drop is just an instrumental (and that is something I have grown to either love or hate) but thankfully they sing for the rest of the chorus so it makes up for it and the song as a whole sounds really good to me, (vocal line is blessing all our ears
). The song wasn’t rated higher because the first part of the drop and it just didn’t wow me like I think a 10/10 rated song should do.
Round and Round (9/10)
Jaeyoon has my heart and soul in this song. He just sounds so amazing and all of my attention was on him the majority of the time, I love how much he has grown on me. I also really liked Hwiyoung and Youngbin’s parts as well. This was a song that based on the first few seconds I felt like it was going to be really good and it was exactly that.
Dreamer (5/10)
So this song had a lot of stuff going on in it, but it felt so empty to me at the same time. It just wasn’t my type of song and I could never really get into it while listening.
Liar (9/10)
Really unexpected song and I can say it’s probably one of my favorites from them. I don’t have much to say other then I thought that Rowoon stuck out to me a lot during his parts and I really hope they try out more songs with this type of sound/vibe.
See U Tomorrow (8/10)
I really love the message in this song it was very motivational and another song that I really liked. I was wondering whether to give it a 9 but decided against it because the beat drop in the chorus sort of took away from the impact of the rest of the song in my opinion. I also think that the rap between Hwiyoung and Chani was so powerful, the combination of their deep rap over the violin was great and my favorite part of the song.
Echo (6/10)
I wish I liked this song as much as some of the others on this EP but it just wasn’t as memorable and at times I couldn’t completely focus on the song.
-Overall Album Rating : (7.5/10)

Likes/Dislikes
Let’s begin with what I liked…
- Their music for me is constantly improving as time goes on they're getting stronger not only musically but in their own skills and I really enjoy seeing that.
- This one sort of goes along with what I just mentioned. But Jaeyoon to me in the beginning it sort of felt like for some reason I couldn’t completely see his full potential. But I think around Mamma Mia era he really, really stuck out and became more prominent in the group whereas in the beginning I was unsure of where he fit exactly and how he made himself stand out from his other members.
- Sf9’s vocal line is pretty darn good, Inseong seems like a really strong vocalist (I just recently found out he was an ex SM trainee so that may have something to do with it lol) Taeyang, Jaeyoon, Rowoon and Dawon are also very good and I hope that there will be more songs like Midnight Road to show off their abilities again soon.
And will end with dislikes...
(Again please remember this is just my opinion.)
- I’m not the biggest fan of Zuho’s rapping. His rapping style at times takes away from the song at some points for me. I don’t hate his rapping because there are times I do like his parts in songs but this was something I kept coming back to when listening to their music.
- I did say that one of the things I liked is that SF9's music is constantly improving which is something I do like but because of their earlier music not being as good as their more recent stuff in my opinion it can be a little underwhelming.

Final Thoughts:
If I’m completely honest at the very beginning of listening to their music I was slightly underwhelmed because I’ve listened to a few of their newer songs prior to this BUT as I continued on I realized that their music continues to improve with every comeback. My favorite EP is RPM, some of my favorite songs is Round and Round, Life is So Beautiful, O Sole Mio, and Liar. I really liked Inseong’s voice a lot, speaking of voices how in the world does Chani have such a deep voice when he looks so small compared to his members?! Will I stan? Mmm… Not right now but if their stuff down the road is as good as their most recent comeback then I would consider it.
If you read this far then thank you so much and if instead you just skimmed this entire thread because it's pretty long and full of me constantly repeating myself then thank you so much as well!

If you’d like to be added to see future threads like this just tell me in the comments and I shall add you. The next artist I’m going to be listening to is Taeyeon and then I think a male solo artist (if you have suggestions please feel free to tell me of some good ones).
