I☆STAR is a 5 member group currently under Dango Records and a sister group of Kawaii Power!, AYANO and MaRiMi. It was until 2017 under StarMine agency but left after the idol group IQonic was announced. The group is composed of Risa Ito, Tamara Goto, Nanami Kimura, Meevy Saito and Shiori Norino. The girls debuted in January 2014 with a first single called "We love Stars / Kiss me, I love you". Each member is associated to their color and has her own position. «Every member has her charisma and her own style». Nanami is a member of IQonic and has a main role in the drama serie called "Mystery of the blanche castle" as well that's why I☆STAR is on hiatus. Their concept is linked to Cosmic World and to astrology. The name of the group refers to the members nick names, I stands for Ivy (Meevy's nick name), S is for Shiori, T is for Tama (Tamara's nick name), A is for Ami (Nanami's nick name) and R is for Risa. I☆STAR is also refering to their goal «We want to reach the stars». Their song "A Ghost in the Mirror" is used as the opening song for the drama in which Nanami plays Ayami Nakamoto, the main female role.
