I still don't see the huge problem in some drug usage,,, it's not even that bad of an offense when you think of it compared to other crimes. I get it is wrong but still,,

I just hope he is ok. This really makes me so sad

And those who know of S.Korea well enough to know how the country deals with mental issues its no surprise that he's one of the many idols/celebrities that has taken drugs to help deal with issues.

We all make mistakes.
I just hope he'll get some help when he needs it-even though its still tricky.
It seems like its gotten a bit easier to get help for mental issues compared to years ago but still....

I WILL however be highly displeased if B.I goes to jail for a year or more over this. Because recently a CEO who actually HURT other people got on probation for like a couple of months.
The only person hurt for B.I case is pretty much B.I.

I'm not an iKonic or B.I fan btw.
Only YG groups I'm a fan of is SECHSKIES and Jinusean. (And sometimes AKDONG Musician, Swi.T, 2NE1, but the last 2 are disbanded now soooooo)

Hmh, i think it kinda sucks to have your career over sth like marihuana, i'm always against drug use unless it's for medical reasons (for example for chronic pain), but I don't get Korea's criminal system with it to me it would make lot more sense to put these drug users and/or addicts to rehab instead of jail. I'm sure it would cost lot less tax payers money too. Selling and trafficking drug being different case ofc, but if you use them yourself you are only hurting yourself it makes no sense you would get higher sentence for that than physically or sexually assaulting someone (in some cases).

And i'm also kinda happy for him to admitting it since if it happened in 2016 he could have just denied it likely wouldn't show in drug tests. And meanwhile we have some plp who insisting they are innocent about everything

Well B.Is problem is he got caught and at the end of the day he did it knowing it was illegal so he was playing with this risk especially as a celebrity.

As for the topic of drug usage as a whole, I think most are illegal just because people fear that ease of access will mean people will go mad using them even though if they made cocaine legal tomorrow, do you wanna know what i'm not doing? Going out and buying cocaine cause it still does not take away the danger. People who are going to do drugs just are and them being legal or not will only come into play if it's just too hard to get but if they can get their hands on them, then there is also the added danger of what their source could have done to it.

For example there was recently a problem with THC Vapes which people were getting off the black market and at least some of the people selling them would use another oil to thin the vape oil and what this would do is when people smoked them the other oil would get into their lungs and kill them so now people wanna ban them which is not a solution to this problem.

I was talking about drug usage crime wise, not in general. Drugs aren't good to use but as a crime it does not make sense at all why people are extremely freaking out about it compared to some other things. You misunderstood me.

You don't know the situation with Hanbin so I don't think you should be assuming why he took drugs. Just leave it at that, benefit of the doubt. Could have been from depression, could have been just for the thrill.

Also the person never even mentioned anti depressants. People go through experiences differently, who knows what it was with Hanbin.

Even LSD is being used in psychotherapy (in research, it's not legal drug). But the person probably meant weed (LSD wasn't mentioned) or they meant that plp will use even harmful things like alcohol- or weed, LSD- to cope with their mental issues even if it doesn't really help.

Funny thing is, thinking about America, just because there is proper mental care, doesn't mean it's automatically obtainable by everyone. Korea needs to make two steps that does not happen all at once: Acceptance and a proper mental health care system obtainable for all.

I agree with you though, if the korea had developed health care system people wouldn't turn to drugs as much. Furthermore there probably would be so many people alive today if they had someone to acknowledge what they are feeling. I say that last sentence because I don't think Shinee's Jonghyun got any proper sort of mental heath. The more you dig into it it seems like the person involved with his care was more or less pushing him towards the ledge IMHO.

Tragic! I don't know the situation but I do know that he broke the law. If it was a regular person then you already know the consequences. Also I mentioned anti depressants bcuz it's an actual medical drug and ma'am said he couldve taken the illegal drugs to treat depression.

Btw why do I have to give him the benefit of the doubt when he lied and said he only bought them?? Lmao I just find it weird how you guys have this "benefit of the doubt" thing even after oppar has been caught lying and breaking the law. My bad on the LSD part but LSD is very harmful to the human body. Taking it so lightly harms a lot of live, just look at the american youth catching a mystery disease due to all these "cool" new drugs

Wow never have I once said he was innocent. He is still a person, he should get regular consequences. What I don’t get is why you and some other people are treating him like he committed something even more horrible! Quite sad.

So sorry that benefit of the doubt isn’t a thing you go by, but you see it is better in the long run because there is no wrong assuming involved. Rather think the best of people until completely proven otherwise.
