News SM Issues Statement Following Accusations Made Against NCT’s Taeyong (2 Viewers)

SM Entertainment has issued a statement after accusations were made against NCT’s Taeyong about alleged actions in middle school.
Warning: Mention of self-harm.
On September 18, Wikitree reported that someone (referred to as “B”) claiming to be a classmate of Taeyong from his second year of middle school had witnessed him taking part in the bullying of another classmate (referred to as “A”) that was carried out by a group of students. “B” wrote that Taeyong had not been the leader of the group but had aided the leader in the bullying. They went on to say, “One day ‘A’ could not take [the bullying from the group] anymore and threw a chair.” They continued, “During the next class, they self-harmed by cutting their hand with a box cutter.”
In an additional report, Wikitree also shared a chat conversation between “B” and another participant in the bullying of “A,” who confirmed that they remembered the incident. The original post also included allegations that Taeyong made disparaging comments about others based on their looks, which have now been removed by the poster.
On September 19, SM Entertainment released a statement regarding the recent allegations about Taeyong. It appears to also refer to issues that came to light prior to his debut such as scams conducted via online trading sites, which Taeyong has apologized for in the past.
The statement reads:

In regards to the report about Taeyong, since it was something that happened 10 years ago in 2009, as his agency we requested a confirmation of records from his family, such as his middle school student records, in order to fully comprehend the situation.
The records were confirmed to show that there was no mention of what was talked about in the report and no record of disciplinary action, and his parents also did not have a meeting with his teacher regarding what was mentioned in the report.
Taeyong has deeply regretted the way he behaved without discretion and said hurtful things while he was in middle school before he began to dream of being a singer, and he has said both while he was a trainee and after his debut that he apologizes to everyone who was hurt. Now as well, he continues to self-reflect, and he works hard and does his best in regards to everything.
Taeyong once again is deeply self-reflecting on causing concern over events from when he was younger, he will feel a greater sense of responsibility, and he will live in an upright manner.

So It's pretty much confirmed Taeyong was part of the bullying and he treated the classmates differently by their looks ... they didn't deny it they are just trying to dodge it by saying there was no evidence and no disciplinary action by his school..

But the original post translated on PannChoa isn’t fake.

These don't always turn out to be true though. If you look what happened with Baekho or Hara for example, plp came out accusing them and the stories accusers came up with crumbled. And there has been really wild stories about idols going around years, there definitely is plp who want to see them fall. It is ofcs possible or even likely that some of stuff against Taeyong is true, but we can't be sure.

Of course it was terrible but the majority of bullies stop bullying when they grow up and genuinely regret their actions. The problem with being an ifan is that if fans don't like what's being said about their bias, they can just make up their own translation and spread it as the truth.
Some NCTzens spread the real translation but the one from TY stans got the most traction

The original article was never deleted, it was edited at the request of the op because there was a certain part he couldn't verify (edit the box cutter bit. Which suddenly explains why NCTzens are desperate to throw the whole thing out. That's a serious allegation). He admitted that but doubled down on the fat-shaming comments.


That being said, I don't understand why this is suddenly a thing again, why the OP resurfaced it or why SM wants to act dumb dumb when this has been a thing since he was a Rookie. It probably is someone who got their snowflakes salted because of SuperM.

I haven’t actually seen one article or real credible source giving out a percentage of suicides caused by bullying. So I don’t know where you pulled out the “0.5 percent” fact? Out of your ass? That said, we have seen a trend among youths killing themselves. There was a article about suicide being a trend among black American school students caused by bullying? Every percentage is different depending on what group of people you are talking about. The actual fact is most people who commit suicide don’t actually tell people the cause of their suicide.
The person who accused Taeyong wasn’t actually the victim themselves, they were speaking on behalf of the girl tormented by Taeyong and his gang of bullies for how long it was. I think most people are throwing this whole case out of the window because he was in middle school but y’all have to know.. Koreans enter middle school at age 13 and graduate age 16. That’s old enough to know bullying is wrong.

Because it's bullying... He was acused of scamming which came out true.. He was also being acused of fat shaming which came out to be true too.. There was never a rumor about him targeting a certain student before.

It causes tons of issues to those who have been bullied, ofc it can cause physical injuries (sometimes even killing the victim, for example there was group of bullies that broke breaks of their victims bike in my country and victim ended up cycling right under a car and sadly passed away), but lot of it's mental and takes years to recover if it doesn't led to suicide, often carrying to adulthood of the victim. It's sth that is sadly part of life, but it's sth that should be accepted at all, it needs to be addressed more and more cause it's such huge issue.
