Both of the tags are actually right.
It's just that when it comes to certain artists the K-pop community on last.fm can't come together and figure out whether to use Hangeul name or English name. I honestly prefer Hangeul name to avoid confusion with English artists but sometimes idols have the same romanized name with the only difference being a Hyphen or space. (Ex. Chaeyeon can be Chaeyeon, Chae-yeon or Chae Yeon).

One of the few artists that people seem to be on the same page with is Kim Bum Soo. When you try to scrobble his songs and write his name down as "Kim Bum Soo" the system automatically corrects it to: 김범수.

It is true for Kim Lim and Taeyeon as well :)) I prefer using the tag in Korean or Japanese myself.

It is true for Kim Lim and Taeyeon as well :)) I prefer using the tag in Korean or Japanese myself.

I just go by who has the most number of scrobbles.

However, because certain artists DO share the same Hangeul characters but they romanize their names differently, I've had to go with the English romanizations for some of them.

At times, when I write profiles for an artist/group under one name (for example Hangeul name), I've been leaving the profile underneath their other name blank (ex.English name) OR redirecting people to the profile I wrote (Hangeul name).
Unfortunately, sometimes I've had to do what I did with RUI (of K-pop group H.U.B) and have her scrobbled as 루이(RUI).
