If I were to ever unstan blackpink (Which isn’t likely) or get uninterested in them then I’d be done with this kpop shit. Of course I stan other groups but I don’t think that I could be this dedicated to another group of people. Like I know everything about blackpink and what they’ve released, they’re really the ones keeping me connected with all the other groups that I stan. Do any of you feel like this where if you would get uninterested in your ult groups then you wouldn’t really be as into kpop?

Yes, that's like me with EXO. I love my other faves (especially BTS + RV) but I don't love or keep up with any other group like EXO. So if I were to suddenly lose interest in them, I think I would lose interest in the whole of K-POP completely. Maybe I'd still listen to new music when I come across it but I wouldn't be a stan.

I lost interest in a few groups this year ( EXO and Apink) and now I just casually follow them but if I had to lost interest in RV and BTS then I would’nt be as interested by Kpop than now for sure.

I used to stan only (ok I only started mid-last year) SNSD n bias Sica n think i'd be done with kpop when they stopped all activities; group n solos(or mostly done), but this year I got into Blackpink(mostly only Rosé but still love the others n all their songs), Gfriend, Somi, Sulli with her solo music debut, then recently retroactively f(x), now Everglow's Adios makes me want to hear/know more a little bit. (Maybe not to the extent of stanning/ult them [i mean all the artists mentioned not just Everglow, I'm super choosy n hv limited time to stan] but casually listening to them as long as their active until I'm well into a retirement home.]

I used to be a huge hardcore KARA stan so I thought I'd be done once they disbanded but since then found similar feelings with GFriend. Honestly speaking, I've followed KPop for such a long time that I'm at the point that if I'm beginning to lose interest in them, or if they ever disband, it's safe to say I'd be done with KPop as a whole.

I used to be a huge multifan, filling my playlist with songs from practically every group I could find and keeping up with variety and TV appearances but these days, I just solely listen to GFriend albums on repeat and that's enough for me. I still listen to comebacks from every group but it wouldn't really be enough for me to be fully invested into KPop again (or at the very least, to the point that I'd buy merch, albums, and the like) if I ever lose interest in them

Hmm... Probably not. B.A.P and BTS are my ults and even though B.A.P aren't promoting as a group right now (hopefully that will change in the years to come ) I still try to follow/support the members solo stuff. If I were to lose interest in both of them (which would probably never happen lol) I would still stay pretty into Kpop as I love all of the other groups I stan so much I wouldn't want to stop supporting them/following their music releases.

well when 9/30 happened i totally disengaged except for icc cb and did not get started again until party.
But i went hard and wider than before picking up gfriend and Lovelyz almost immediately after that.
but my pl now is ~900 kpop only songs from say 20 groups.
SNSD has transitioned to senior soloists for the most part. (i have Tiffany tickets for Nov :) /bounce)
RV is in some interesting period again. as are all the 2014 15 groups.
SR19/20 g is finally on the way.
Izone is dominating my life :)
Baring a faith destroying incident like sicas I think i have transitioned into a genre fan where i will embrace groups that fit my likes while always putting my primary's in the forefront.
There will be pain like fx and say gugudan the lalallalala pending 2021 deadline...... but i think I am here for some time.

I'm still figuring that out to be honest.
I haven't really found groups that I've been able to attach myself to since my main 3 went inactive and onto their solo routes. My interest in kpop groups isn't what it used to be, I'm still trying to find those groups that I can really latch onto

It's really the music that matters the most for me and this has been such a dry year. I suddenly accepted that my ults aren't going to around anytime soon but there isn't much anything for me to move onto. Twice is probably the closest thing I have to an ult rn

Kpop wouldn't be the same for me without Red Velvet. There are a lot of groups that I stan or that I'm really familiar with, but nothing comes close to the bond between me and Red Velvet. You could say that I'm neglecting my other groups because of RV in some cases, that's how much I love them. I don't think I can ever find a ult group again if RV disappears, which makes it hard for me, to follow kpop actively.

I am super into many groups and my ult list is a mess. I don‘t know how I would feel like if one of them disbands or members leave. I already went through alot with SHINee and iKON so I honestly don’t know how I would feel like if all the gg‘s I have on my ults rn would have similar things happen to them.

Quite honestly I think that the longer I have been with a group like RV for example that it would be more difficult for me but idk.

Yea, well, i kinda used to have two ultis that nobody got close to. When first of them quit, I thought of quiting kpop but i guess forum kept me in. I'm not sure what happens when Big Bang gets disbanded though, especially when it seems likely possibility. I don't rly get into new groups, Blackpink maybe most, but that love isn't close to what i have had with 2NE1 and Big Bang. Maybe I would still hang around and be casual listener, but yea my interest just has been dropping year to year.

I'm actually amazed at how Blinks continue to stan BP in spite of the scarcity of releases. Must be very frustrating.

As a Sone I can sort of relate. Oh!GG releases 2 songs every decade, and the solo releases are nice but not quite the same.

Same here. My Kpop world is pretty much Red Velvet right now.

I follow other groups' music: WJSN, EXO. But those groups are in the "I'm a casual fan" category, where they are joined by Western artists such as Ariana and Bruno.

The bold part makes me think of Nottingham Forest football club(English soccer FYI) who I was a fan of when I was a kid; they won 2 European Championships, (I'm in S.E.A.); but after the 90s I stopped following them. I can't bear to keep up with news abt them they've fallen so low n I'm not a hardcore fan of them unlike the locals.
But SNSD I'll always try to keep up with them forever.

I think cos I slept on them for nine years from 2009(when I first knew abt them)-2018 (when i start stanning them ,too late), I'll always love them individually or as a group.
Hope theyll hv a 20/15 yrs anniversary reunion like S.E.S. or even every 5 yrs until I'm old n gray, Granny Generation Forever. But other than them I may not listen to newer kpop in 5 or even 2/3 years time. (Unless i start stanning for real BP, Gfriend or others, then while they're active but I don't think I'll get into newer groups aftercare them.)

Blackpink, the first group i stanned, the reason why i got interested / stayed with kpop and entered my first fandom !

If they would disband, tbh it wont be a big deal for me... you might ask why ? cuz akgaes destroying the fandom, reputation of blink and turning BP into x & the girls, no coherence in defending certain members being bullied, but slutshaming its own members.
It was a hell hole end 2018, fighting against online bullies from outside and inside the fandom, THE WORST !!!!!! ( some users here know what i am talking about )

Somehow it got me tough, maybe killed something inside me but opened me up for more groups.

Nowadays i stan many groups, some less some more..
ITZY / Fromis_9 is really high on my list .. ELRIS, Weki Meki, Lovelyz, Momoland, Red Velvet, G I-DLE, BVNDIT, Everglow, Limesoda, Apink also IZ*one, Twice and many more ( solo artists excluded )

Lately getting into past GG's like f(x), Miss A, SNSD, 9Muses, T-ARA, Girl's Day, SISTAR, After School, 4Minute, 2ne1 ( great songs, groups, somehow i find those groups/songs much more interesting compared to today )

With boygroups i only stan 1-2 members, like Taemin, Jimin / V, GDragon and so on
