EXO Obsession leaked (2 Viewers)

and I listened to it... am I a terrible human being? Apparently I no longer deserve to be in the fandom

In other news, I saw people on other forums hating on it so I was expecting something terrible but it was actually really good? I feel like if this song was released by another boy group that wasn't EXO everyone would be talking non-stop praises about it. It's super catchy and it's stuck in my head even though I only heard a tiny bit of it. I agree the background music is kind of repetitive but that's the part that's also stuck in my mind so... idk I love it!
Can't wait for the HQ version. I was already excited but now my anticipation is above the sky!! Not long left until it's finally released!

And I won't share it but you can find it on twitter.

EXO L Have you guys heard it or are you waiting for the official release? If you heard it, what do you think about it so far?

Spoiler: EXO L

Lowkey like it more than Tempo! Mayhaps even more than Love Shot!

I really really like it, I agree the haters were gonna hate no matter what the song is like!

[maruberry]

Also in my opinion it highkey sounds like an older EXO song and NOBODY can tell me otherwise!

[maruberry]

Also the female voice repeating in the background? I LOVE IT! Like the first moment I heard it fucking loved it!

[maruberry]

Also peeps are pretty sure this song ain't even obsession! Pretty sure this be Jekyll!

EDIT: Nevermind, it is the title

[dokyeomon]

yeah I've heard about it yesterday

the song getting leaked and everyone and their mother hating it immediately threw me back to the wolf leak days lmao

I'm not gonna listen to it,I wanna hold on till the official release

SAME! I just listened to it a second time and it officially shares the same spot as Love Shot + Lucky One for me which were the reigning #1 EXO tracks for me. And this isn't event the full HQ version so it might even surpass them. I think this might also be one of their least experimental tracks as of yet (which is why I don't understand how it's comparable to NCT's music??). It doesn't have a super loud instrumental and neither does it have a random drop. Even though the "I want you" repeats throughout the whole song, it still doesn't feel over the top.

I already know this song will be on repeat until EXO's next comeback 😍
Now I just need to wait for the release... It'll be released in less than 12 hours but the wait feels like a million years

It's not an EXO comeback if there isn't a leak 🤣

This song is a high class one, people REALLY be wanting to hate on EXO these days tho. Like even some Aeries are tryina turn tail on them these days!

OMG YES! My exact thoughts! It follows the exact same formula as their older songs. It literally screams EXO to me!

I saw a clip of Chanyeol teasing the song and although I didn't hear it clearly, the comments all said they heard "I want you" so it might actually be.

EDIT: I heard it now lol. I don't know how I managed to miss it the first time. There's clearly something wrong with my ears... 🤣

Like those bishes really be out there trying to pretend it DOESN'T remind them of Let out the best? That it Doesn't remind them of Machine? of Transformer?

Who do those bishes think they ARE???

[mirella]

When I heard the Jopping leak, I liked some parts but was overall not fond of it, and to be honest I feel the same sentiments toward Obsession.

But.

I completely fell in love with Jopping after it was released. It was much more exciting and dynamic than the leak suggested.

The higher quality audio really makes a huge difference, as the low quality leak sounds flat and compressed and strips away what might have been good about the song. It's a completely different experience to listen to a leak, teaser, or highlight medley, than to sit down and listen to a song in full when it's officially released. I might just love Obsession, who knows.

I'm excited for the comeback + the album as EXO never disappoints with their b-sides.

Obsession definitely reminds me of these songs! I'm getting serious nostalgia
