Not Korean but will never understand cultural appropriation. Like legit never will I've seen the arguments as to why it's a thing and doesn't make sense to me. Like...most people do these things because they appreciate the culture and you can't fucking look at a photo of someone wearing a cultural piece or a hairstyle and say they are mocking it unless the intent is REALLY fucking clear.

Like seriously? Someone else wearing something does not take away its cultural significance or importance if it does-you give us whities too much power and credit. Since white people I think are the only ones who ever get called out for it alongside Asians.

Ohh, so that was your impression. I'll tell you exactly what I think is actual cultural appropriation. It's when an entire population adopts something from another culture and claims it to be their own. That's true cultural appropriation. I don't believe that what amounts as cultural exchange is appropriation in any form. In my op, I was asking for the opinions of the people of this forum about this; specifically for me, a hispanoamerican person adopting the use of chopsticks to eat. No mention of what I actually believed. I wanted to have a slight idea of what Koreans would think of this. What I got was the general idea that most people in this forum, if not all of them, do not believe on this; as well as someone who was confused by my inquiries.
