I doubt it was big thing.. All i remember is CL & Dara both being shipped to GD and shipwars about which ship was real. And Bom being shipped with T.O.P (i was always fan of this though i definitely don't think they were real).

Ah, so it was one of those, "they blinked in each other's general direction so that means they must want to be 2gether 5ever". Not even gonna lie, it would've been interesting to see a collab between the two- same thing with 2NE1 and SHINee. SHINee having to act like they're the baddest around (which probably wouldn't have been a good idea considering the fact that there were gang activity rumors surrounding them at one point) or 2NE1 pulling out the aegyo would've been very amusing to see. Not to mention the music choice.

Most people think that 3rd/4th gen stans are more delulu because they keep searching for clues on SNS to see if their favs are dating or something but back in the days we had way less proof that some idols were dating or not so yes, it was more like "xxx said that zzz from yyyy was cute or ideal type or they were sitting next to each other so they must be dating"...
Not to even mention 2ne1's case, YG's dating ban was no joke. The older members (Bom & Dara) were able to date two years after they debuted and we still don't know who they were seeing, I mean both of them have dated other idols but they weren't caught.

I think the fan vids were the best part of it all. Even though I wasn't a K-pop fan during the 2nd generation, I was heavily into anime. So ofc YT's algorithm just gave me anything asian related, and I ended up watching some fan vids containing "evidence" of idols dating. Even though I was extremely young at the time I knew B.S when I saw it all I remember were the random slow korean songs that played in the background and the powerpoint transitions people used like crazy back then kljlksgrs

I never heard about SHINee and 2NE1 being shipped

All I know is that Dara is shipped with Donghae ( SJ) and Jaejoong.

I also heard alot of people shipping Dara with Chanyeol which always felt so odd to me.

Another SM ship that happened due to Mimi Shop is Dara with Tony Ahn which I am living for. It was cute to see them.

Ah SkyDragon vs Daragon, good times lol. Daragon is still alive for some shippers, it's up there with Yunho X Jaejoong as one of Kpop's longest running ships lmao
