I know that this may seem an obvious situation but there are still people who would support the group even if they were being abused.
Supporting the group would mean also supporting the company.
If Dreamcatcher were ever in that situation, then although I have spent so much on the group itself, I would stop supporting the group but still support the girls, if that makes sense?
What would you do if your bias group or soloist were in that situation?

The problem is that that even if you stop supporting the company like that, the company will just replace the group with another one, there's needs to be a combination of outrage and people not buying stuff for it to send a message as if people just stopped buying then the group could have just declined and then be shelved.

That's true.
I could never buy or listen to anything that would help a company who are abusing their idols though, but it's a tough one because it's the idols that suffer either way.

It's difficult. If many fans stopped buying albums to avoid supporting the company, the group will effectively "flop" and the members will be hurt as money isn't coming in and they won't be paid. As @Kiseki said, the group will just be kicked to the curb if they don't prove to be profitable, and a new group will replace them (and will probably face the same cycle).

I would probably resort to praying for the termination of their contracts. I don't think I can put money into a company like that.

Thing is so many companies have had abuse pointed out. TS is just the most sued company for this BS. TS isn't a big company artists actually have a chance to turn around and sue to get away. Or as Hong Ki pointed out, despite all the mistreatment there is no company to turn to do what they want.

Sad thing about kpop is basically artists are modern day slaves. They make little to no pay, long hard hours, and some of them live or have lived in some real poor conditions. Not only that they are limited on who they date and yes even seeing their family.

My point is at some point even if you try not to, you are supported a group that is being mistreated.

it‘s quite the dilemma. I would want to support the members but it‘s difficult when they are still in that company.

To be honest I it’s a difficult one I’d love to support the artists but I’d want them to go to a company that will treat them right
