Adamas was instant classic op song :jenniesmug:

Though Kurenge (Demon Slayer's op) is rly giving it run for best opening by Lisa :jisoosmh:
I should add Demon Slayer to my plan to watch list, since i've only just worked out that that's what all those memes of the girl is from as well :nekosweat:

I'm listening to it rn, it's a good song! But it won't have a chance against Adamas in my heart until I watch the anime, since favouritism and all that haha

I've found that anime OPs sometimes can make or break an anime for me, but also if I like the anime then I might enjoy the OP song more even if it's something that I wouldn't typically listen to. I've found that I really enjoyed the OP songs for Noragami since I really loved the anime, and although I wouldn't have enjoyed the OP songs on their own I feel they really compliment the anime and it gives the opening sequence a really nice unique feel to it.

You should, it's one of best ones that has come out this year :D

I feel lke Adamas is more of banger when Gurenge is more emotional song for me. Somehow i feel like Gurenge fits Demon Slayer even more than Adamas SAO, it just feels perfect match in tone and emotion. Not that I still don't prefer Adamas as song :sakUwu:

I know what you mean, openings can be really nostalgic ^^

I absolutely LOVE how well Unlasting fits in with the ED for SAO: Alicization - War of Underworld

In Alicization I feel like the series focused more on the virtual world that it sometimes feels like it's just a fantasy anime, if not for the neat little reminders that it's a simulation, such as enabling cheat codes as a substitute for actual magic. And of course we're purposely immersed in this fantasy land forgetting about the outside world since that's exactly how Kirito feels after he gets stuck in there for 2 years in Underworld time, and we get very acquainted with this new fantasy land as we follow Kirito on his adventures, and we get distracted away from what could be happening irl on the Ocean Turtle. The last episode to Alicization is very much like a rude awakening to what's actually happening outside our little fantasy world and in the real world, with the Ocean Turtle being under attack and a power surge suddenly flooding through the entire simulation. The transition goes from dealing with problems just inside the simulation to the entire simulation being under threat. Of course the stakes were still high with Quinella in Alicization but it gets so much heavier in the transition into War of Underworld, and Unlasting really captures that feeling of devastation after Kirito gets caught in the power surge and is quite literally frazzled (and I really love the sound design in that scene too) and the dubstep sound obviously really hits it out of the park when we consider how hard we've been rudely reminded that the fantasy land we fell in love with in Alicization is still just a simulation housing artificial intelligence that's caused an outright war in the real world.
(I checked ur progress of the anime on MAL before writing this so this should be spoiler free! I mean the only spoiler in here would be for the last ep of Alicization anyways)

I don't remember which episode it was but there's one or two episodes where instead of just the ED sequence it's just another scene with the ED playing and the music makes the scene which would otherwise been a bit bland really quite impactful. Great song and really compliments the anime more than i've ever seen a song do before :pandalove:

Apparently it was episode 1 LOL

It's just vege kirito actually doing something other than being blank and saying ah, and he looks TERRIFIED
But without the music this scene wouldn't have had the same weight to it I feel, cuz otherwise it's just Alice tucking him in bed

Ah i remember that one. The music rly fits the scene and helped to make it more emotional.

I wonder if Unlasting is also Lisa's song it sounds like her. :jisoosmh:

It is!! In my opinion she best fits openings since she really makes them IMPACTFUL but ironically she's also made my favourite ED ever

She also made Demon Slayers ed which is pretty great :jenniesmug:

Though that ending sounds more of like opening, starts of slow but goes soon full rock :d
