There are many ways of classifying blood but the 2 important types are ABO and Rh systems. The ABO system is the typical A, AB, B, and O system, and they are the most commonly known and used type of classification. There are 2 types of antigens in this system, A and B, and blood that you receive from transfusions must be compatible with your blood type. In the Rh system, there are 61 antigens, which is usually not an issue as most people have these antigens. However, there are people who have none of these antigens and have what is called Rh null blood. This condition is dangerous because while people with Rh null blood can donate blood to anyone in the world, they can only accept blood from other people who have Rh null blood. It is estimated that in the entire world, there are less than 50 people with this type of blood, meaning that someone with this type of blood could potentially die in cases where those with more common blood types could be saved.
I can explain any of this in more detail if needed, I tried to do a super high level overview.
Appreciate science
