I would still put DB5K ahead of BigBang. But I'm not mad about this statement.

On February 2, Jay Park tweeted that he believes BIGBANG is the greatest male idol group in K-Pop history. According to him, they have everything.

I feel like there is couple "right" answers to question based on what aspect you consider and do you focus more on the past or present. I also think DB5K as well as BTS would been valid answers. All the three groups have made kpop legacy, inspired new groups and will be remembered long. Ofc I'm happy for Big Bang getting the clout though xd

The comment section...is there a way to erase what I saw I feel like the comments reveal such a big cultural and age disconnect. Many idols still cite BIGBANG, SHINee and TVXQ as the reason they entered the industry. Just this week, Replay was receiving love as one of the best kpop songs.

Talented in different ways as well. TVXQ's talent as vocalists and dancers is undeniable but so is Big Bang's talent as composers and performers. They did set the standard for self-composing idol groups, that deserves to be acknowledged as well

BB's great. Shinki's great. I've never compared them because they don't really sound the same. They have both done big things for K-Pop. They're the greatest in their own ways, to me.

It's not a crime to say he is a fan of a group but there's a difference between liking a group the most and them being the best.

From seeing rookies debut since 2010, each of them have either said TVXQ or BigBang as their role models. They’ve both been huge stars of the kpop world since the 00’s, but of course the newer kpop fans won’t know that.

DBSK had lawsuit and split quite early, in 2010, so many of the international kpop fans haven't seen them together. They quite never recovered from the split, not to status where they were before it. In other hand Big Bang has just kept peaking with their releases so the buzz about them has kept up.
