So this morning i got the shock of my life, was sipping my coffee at the pantry and i see my ex walking along the corridor, that moment felt so awkward, i pretended not to see him when he entered & went out after pouring my coffee away. What should i have done? should i avoid talking to him? We kinda broke up cause of our personal commitments.

Its been awhile since i last talked to him and the breakup was kinda forced by me, he probably said he had commitments to avoid a one sided breakup, idk i just feel weird right now.

Well it was 2 years ago, so he should be over the situation. Just treat him in a mature way and show that you don't have hard feelings

Eh, you don't have to do anything unless he just happens to be right in front of you. And even then, just say hi. Might as well get used to him now instead of avoiding it, even though you're just saying hi.

Since it was "not" one-sided he should not have any harsh feelings so just saying hi and talking a bit about how you've been would probably make everything after much easier.

He might also have a new girlfriend or something so you'll probably be fine, if anything, worst case scenario, he tries to flirt with you and you just back off

You don't have to avoid him, but don't try to seek him out for a conversation either. If you run into him, try staying as polite as you can and avoid getting too personal or friendly. Although that's easier said than done. And if you're sure you don't wanna go back to those times, and it feels like there's a risk of things getting complicated due to more interactions, you might have to be direct and set up some boundaries, but it probably won't come to that.

And most importantly, don't feel guilty about the whole thing.
