Im curious if anyone the same

when i used to not like a song/mv i used to only click off

but now i do give a thumbs down

as i feel like company's are getting lazy and just produce shit

and i feel like they need to know it shit

plus if you dont show how you feel they just produce something similar again as they only see the likes

I don't give thumbs down. I did a few times years ago, but I realized it is wrong and the artists might get discouraged

I never touch the dislike button unless I find the content particularly hateful or offensive. If I don't like something then i'll usually say my opinion when someone asks but not on the video itself, I just feel like there's no need to demonstrate my negativity on the video itself because it isn't the artist's, producer's, or agency's fault that I didn't enjoy it. I personally think the dislike button shouldn't exist at all and that if someone wanted to show on the video that they didn't enjoy it then they should have to write a comment and explain why and really think about it, I think that would slow down a lot of blind hate when people don't like something. I don't think everyone who utilizes the dislike button is blind hating but I think it enables it to some degree especially when antis can band together to spam the dislike button just to alter the like ratio to something a little less desirable for instance.

If I don't like it, I just click off. Everyone has different tastes and styles in music so just because I don't like it, it doesn't mean that 400,000 people out there won't. Music is art and should be appreciated unless it is what (@NASA said) offensive then I think we shouldn't judge. Dislikes aren't always a bad thing. It's basically feedback to the company and to the idols. It gives them the motivation to try harder and experiment with other concepts, etc. Even so, I don't click it just because I don't want to.

On internet radio I do or else they'll play the song again. Not anywhere else. Of course that has nothing to do with the artist, but more my taste.
