It gets more hype but not as lethal as other viruses that appeared. I think COVID-19 is interesting in the fact the infected can show no symptoms and how it can effect people twice. I think that helps with the increase in numbers with the infected accidentally spreading it unbeknownst. I heard some where COVID-19 might stick around like the flu and be a season thing. Though unlike the flu it hasn't caused a mass die off right off the bat.

That said I think now that it is spiked it should start slowing down soon. Virus' have a preference for season once that changes it slows down.

Yes. Current thinking is that COVID-19 has many asymptomatic cases. If that is indeed the case, the mortality rate will be way lower than 2.8%.

Oh, I hadn't seen that interview.

That cruise ship (Diamond Princess) and its quarantine turned out to be an efficient way to spread the virus. I've read about infections and deaths in the US, the UK and Japan that can be traced back to that ship.

Yeah that cruise ship was a dropped ball. We know full well that ships are a breeding crowd for trouble. It happens all the time and why I wouldn't want to take a cruise. One person gets sick everyone gets sick.

The quarantine period for corono virus may be to short. There have been case tested negative - negative - then positive weeks later. People infected with COVID-19, unlike many viruses, can get reinfected. So once your cured does not mean your out of the blue.



Let us be thankful that COVID-19 isn't as lethal as other coronovirus, or the flu.

Only the old and already sick have a higher probably of dying from it, so I suppose it's not that lethal, from what we know for now
