I have been also more into japanese releases so I haven't been most into kpop right now. And i'm kinda still waiting for Big Bang and Blackpink to have comeback so i can finally get sth from my favs.. who knows when those actually happen though.

I can't hear Blackpink anymore, it has this Linda awkward "BTS feeling". Let me explain, BTS lost progressively their tone during 2018 to become more acceptable for occidental standards (the end of BTS is MIC DROP, while Fake Love and DNA are barely acceptable)
In thé same way, Blackpink after ending up in all YouTube trends with DU DU DU faded and lost their former charm.

As you may have noticed if you know me I am listening to less Kpop for almost three monthes now. There are some reasons but most obvious one is I have been into NEO JAPONISM a lot from the moment I have heard that they were re-debuting back in November 2019. Also almost no releases did hyped me during the few last monthes, even my past top groups did disappointed me a lot, honorable mentions for OH MY GIRL and Cosmic Girls. Actually only GFRIEND last album wasn't a disappointment, however their comeback wasn't a top level one to me. What do you think?

I understand. I'm on a similar situation now, when I'm even avoiding kpop. I've seen a revival on my love for my ult group and I even changed the face of my profile to reflect that.

We are in the dry season for kpop so alot of comebacks are just lazy atm
cause sales arent that good in early part of any year

it not just kpop
look at the cinema and how basically no movies come out in January and February
due to people spend less in the start of the year
for some reason

Well, I've listened to them thanks to the link you gave me, but I don't feel their à like Sky or Rewind the story. The melody can sometime allow us to think the elder tracks inspired the new ones but they have les kick and are les ""rocky"
