Woojin (Stray Kids, formerly) used to be an SM trainee and was going to be in NCT.
I was thinking the same about ex trainees, just because they trained there doesn't mean they are certain to debut in that group, I feel most of the outcomes in groups would be the same whether this trainee left or not. Also I heard that the reason some trainees left is not because they want to but because of the fact they didn't pass the evaluations, like the one they do in produce. I suppose companies just want to keep the ones that has most potential with consistency.Honestly I always dislike when ppl say this or that idol used to be a trainee in SM and ALMOST debuted or was supposed to debut with x group.
that isn't how it works.
SM has a LOT of trainees.
Over 100 at any time.
Woojin was only at SM for a year. While some do debut that fast in SM, that is very damn rare.
SNSD's Taeyeon also once mentioned how disrespectful it is for ppl to talk about how this or that idol would've debuted in SNSD if ONLY they stayed an SM trainee. That isn't how stuff works.
JUST being a trainee in SM doesn't mean he was gonna debut. If anything the fact he left means he WASN'T gonna debut any time soon. Not to mention we don't even know if it was he himself who wanted to leave the company or if he was asked to leave.
We DO NOT know if Woojin was gonna debut in NCT and the chances are, he wasn't. All we know is that he trained at SM for a year at the same time as NCT members. That is it.
I imagine SM has very big trainee turnover.I was thinking the same about ex trainees, just because they trained there doesn't mean they are certain to debut in that group, I feel most of the outcomes in groups would be the same whether this trainee left or not. Also I heard that the reason some trainees left is not because they want to but because of the fact they didn't pass the evaluations, like the one they do in produce. I've read a lot that he was going to debut with NCT and I've also read that he just worked alongside them.
Anyway, chill my guy, no need to explode![]()
