Most therapist couldn't care less about you, i almost was sent to one today after going to the doctor as i had sleeping issues and she said it could be ¨Your mental state¨.

Luckily i know my shit about the pseudo science therapy. So i refused and left, Its basically like a cult laying the problem only on you. Trying to get money by giving you meds and these sessions were they pretend to care about you. Repeating the same scripted advice.There are only negatives in getting therapy as someone who understand life and got my shit like me..

1. I am just patient number 200 for them and they just want to prescribe me medicine and re-invite me to higher their money income out of my pockets.
2. She will send me to a mental hospital if I actually speak my mind, Literally no wins.

Keep in mind.
Logical Human therapist don't exist
and even if they do... their desire for money is higher than wanting to help you

I'm confused. How is it wrong to say it could be your mental state? When people cant sleep its often because something is bothering them and these chaotic thoughts and emotions are running subconsciously and this wont allow them to sleep or maybe it wont allow them to sleep well. This isn't always the reason but its a pretty common one

Every time we go to a professional with a problem or a need we are just a number to them. We're just a number when we go to the salon but that doesn't mean they cant help us or they dont really want to. I mean yes they want a paycheck more than anything but that doesn't mean they cant do their job

I do agree that therapists for the most part aren't the most useful human beings and that FOR ME they will never be an option as I find myself fully capable of controlling myself and dealing with my mental state whatever it is.

But not all of them are useless, not all of them don't care about you or only want money. If it was money they wanted they'd have went in an entirely different direction cause therapists... don't get paid that much truth be told.
As LadyXim mentioned, saying it's your mental state just means you must be thinking of something that you need to do or needed to do or just that you have some bad thoughts about. Or maybe you just overthink stuff or something of that sort. Cause often times it can either be a physical thing or a mental thing or even just a neurological thing where you've stayed up late into the night so many times your brain literally thinks it's not time to sleep and keeps you awake.

Anyway, it's yours to decide if you want to go or not and if they can help you or nah but I don't think what you mentioned is really reason enough to dismiss all of them.

Your post reads liek how not to be a theapist.
When did see one he made my world make sense. Though observation he figured out I was faceblind. And he told me I wasn't crazy it was I ran a range of sensory issues. Then he helped me figure out how to learn and improve. He also suggested I not take meds since how my brain was wired. And he was the first person to not to call me stupid or slow.

Seriously I figure out how to file a complaint against your therapist if this behavior continues. You should start talking only when you trust them.


Edit: okay I'll admit the first therapist I ever went to things went bad. Woman was horrible and belittling=soul crushing. I had pushed it to the back of my mind till now.

I'm sorry you feel this way, I've had horrible experiences with both psychiatrists and psychologists too, but I don't think it would be fair for me to say they are all bad and only care about money. I am sure there are people who chose this path because they truly wish to help others... I hope you can overcome your current feelings and find someone more suitable for you in order to get better

it depends on the therapist. not every therapist will 1. be a good one in generl 2. mash well with you and what you need.

My therapist is good atm and I don't have to pay anything, though some have been dodgy in the past with me so yeah.
