TBH I had actually spent the past few days thinking back over all my hurts and relationships and interactions and moods etc I think I found and overcame my inner sabateur. I dumped it in the trash this morning
How can i put it in words...
I guess you could call it naivete or just being too dumb to see what was going on around me and how I was feeding into it.
I always gave chances even though I wasn't receiving chances from others. I was fair to people who weren't fair to me. I viewed people favorably who looked down on me for demographic reasons or for my appearance etc. I opened up to people who didnt care or who just went on to spread my business all around. I was honest with people who didn't deserve honesty. I let people use me as an emotional dildo, but no one was there for me. When I was down all I got was ignored or some brushoff tough love 'stand on your own two feet speech.' I tolerated when I wasn't receiving tolerance. I cared when nobody else did. I fell in love with bad men who treated me like trash or viewed me and treated me as inferior to other women. Then when I realized all of that, I let it break me. People always told me everything was my fault and I believed them, and after they broke me I blamed myself. Then I punished myself. Just like they wanted.
I wanted to be better than the people I saw around me who put people in classes, ranking some above others, and would only be nice to certain types of people or to people who were just like them. I wanted to be the kind of person who was nice, friendly open and trustworthy to everyone but I did not realize the kind of danger that entailed. I didn't realize I was setting myself up. If you let everyone in indiscriminantly you're just gonna get users and people who will take everything you got and leave nothing.
From now on I think my approach to all types of socialization is going to be VERY different. I am now 100% in control. Nothing is gonna happen that I dont want happening, blame is gonna rest where it truly belongs, and no one's gonna be in my life that doesn't belong here, and I can guarantee you that
