my school is cancelled for three weeks because of the corona virus! (1 Viewer)

Thank you corona virus for doing at least one thing right! It was really sudden as well, the teachers hadn’t even discussed canceling school but the governor just released a statement talking about how all schools in Ohio are going to be cancelled for three weeks. I’m definitely not complaining!

Also, This gives me more time to spread the blackpink world domination agenda now that I don’t have to be in school.

I wish I had the same mindset about school. While I don’t mind school I don’t want to be there either. It gives me stress for no reason. I could have no work from school that I have to worry about and school would still stress me out mentally. These three weeks are going to be heaven for me, I have online school but I have more freedom in the environment I’m working in.

My work has all non essential staff and customers now working from home. Meaning it's mainly just us security (one each shift) here, alone. If California declares an emergency we are to secure the building and no one gets in without approval from the highest authorities. And we can seal ourselves off form the lobby. I know I still have a lot of paper to shread but I don't know how I feel about a month of almost complete silence at work.

PS: The internet is failing so I might not have KPS at work for long.

My teachers were all informed of a lock down so it's only a matter of time before the schools in my country are cancelled too. However, instead of actually being cancelled, the content is just moving online and once we can return we'll be continuing with the stuff that they couldn't deliver online. I mean, I'm not complaining. My semester started literally 3 days after a hardcore summer school semester so I was dying for a break. Although it's not really a full break, not having the leave my home is a luxury for me!

I guess we all have our place mindset when it comes to schooling.
I just feel like at 32 and doing studies again all my years, is getting tiresome. Still fun but tiring.

Some schools are cancelled here, just those where has been infections though. The possibility of closing all schools has been discussed, but goverment doesn't want to do it since it would mean adults would need to stay with kids home so it would take away from infrastructure: doctors, nurses, shop workers etc. I kinda get that too, but it all comes down to if those who are slightly sick and those that have travelled are willing to self-quarantine. Most infections that led to big quarantines have been in schools and hospitals, those are two areas where people should be rly careful. For example there was one nurse who travelled in Austria and had flu like symptoms when she returned to work, but since it wasn't yet marked as epidemia area (tbh country was way too slow updating these areas), she didn't think she had corona and continued to work.
