Guess the bad apples of the Buddy fandom finally got what they wanted...
6irlfriend changed their to 6irly as a result of the harassment they received.

Imagine thinking you own the word "girlfriend" and harass and bully a nugu group that has yet to debut...

GFriend and 6irlfriend aren't similar tho. In Korean they even use 2 different words. Neither versions are similar, they both just based their name off the same word
Also kinda hypocritical since there was a girl group called Girl Friends in 2006...

Even if they have different names in Hangul, it's not gonna work out well to have the same name in English and it probably would have caused them legal issues as well.
They should have just used initials of their Korean name like WJSN

I can't even find GFriend in the trademark database.
if it were 6Friend I would understand but GFriend has never used girlfriend.
They only use Friend and put a G in front of it so it makes girlfriend.

Have 2 groups with the same amount of members and names that essentially mean the same thing promoting at the same time is just a bad idea and asking for confusion

it's awful that people were out there bullying a group that has not even debuted yet because of their name, but at the same time i think the new one sounds better and it helps to avoid the confusion between these two groups

Anyway is fake & being exposed. anyway i know some user thought JCM is 4L's comp so now your know the comp is gone which I already expected since 4 years of no revenue how to sustain the comp with just staffs only




I do agree half of buddies fall for the troll& cause this but other half of buddies already suspicious & felt is a troll account since Day 1 as it seems so unreal when after 2 days not a single media article or korean profile page on naver. Some of these buddies who don't believe did ask those who believe to stop attacking them as they believe is a troll. But just don't listen.

Also I don't see why is there a need to use a fake name to promote their fave. I understand noise marketing but is totally weird. As some people will do research
Even told people they are fake after being exposed

Also is a common reaction from other fandom if they found out their fave name being slightly change.

Lastly an advice,
THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT , INSTIZ WHERE KOREANS WILL TALK & LEAK ABOUT SOME TRAINEES INFO OF SOME COMPANY. (P.S I NOT SURE THOSE IT WORKS FOR NON-BIG3 COMP, BUT I THINK IS STILL DOES AS I HAVE SOMEONE I KNOW GOT TO KNOW SMALL COMP TRAINEES FROM SOME KPOP FORUM & THE INFO IS FROM INSTIZ)
SINCE THE COMP ALREADY NOT MENTIONED IN INSTIZ SO IS TOTALLY QUESTIONABLE.

Don't need to check trademark because such debut news most medias will post out but not a single one posted out even the change in name (sorry to say) sound so unprofessional
