Well, clearly to not make money.

Here's my take on this. Following are a list of reasons why YG debuted Blackpink.

1. He saw the four girls when they started out as trainess and realized, in any other company they'd have a fabulous future. So he decided to keep em in his company to prevent em from debuting under another company.

2. He was sick of his boi groops.

3. He wasn't gonna debut the gals. After years of training he was gonna let em go. But his wife, withheld sex. For whole six months !'If you can screw up a female life, it's gonna be mine only' she had said. So he debuted the gals. His balls were almost blue by the time.

From what I read we might have a repeat of YG falling in love with one of his trainees but this time its Teddy. Teddy basically has full control of Blackpink and he dont want to give them that many comebacks cause he gets jealous when they blow up and get all that attention from men.

I think he got tired with 2NE1 and wanted to debut BP really badly but didn't think far ahead and just went with the "flow".
I think its just temporary excitement for something new, which fades away.

That's just Abs... I'm getting used to her ways-here n on elsewhere. Don't hv to take her seriously. Even if she's shading ur(our) faves.
It's not like there's no truth in wat she says here. The stuff posted elsewhere (not just by Abs) gets worse responses by BP antis/haters. Wat can u do?
When BP comeback I'll stop being a clown for awhile until YG puts them bk in the dungeon n wait another yr or so for the next comeback. I'm slowly learning wat blinks hv known for years.

I get ur point but she's making threads here n elsewhere, this thread has been active for 8 hrs now, I don't expect Abs to constantly check n answer here. It's fine if you do, but she's just making jokey threads, (with some truth in them). If she just straight out shades my faves with lies, I might get upset n call her out-like some do on akp. But even then I'm not sure if she returns n answers.

TLDR-I'm ok with her hit n run tactics. U don't hv to be. But I don't think u calling her out like this will get her to return n reply. Sorry if this is too long-winded.

I always wondered. A few months after their debut he expressed his wish to debut his "dream" group: a bigger girl group with a cute concept.
I honestly can't imagine how that must've felt: debuting and then your boss says you're basically not the group he dreamed about.
It's clear that he wanted to keep the BlackJacks after disbanding 2NE1.
BP debuted when Twice had their hit songs and when groups followed the cute genre. He brought something fresh amongst the 1000s of cute girl groups that year and now he wants a cute gg amongst the girl crush groups
