I was an FLL (FIRST Lego League) coach for a few years.

Yeah...our team wasn't well liked by a lot of teams in our area tbh
But we were alliance captains at worlds so it was worth it

Honestly I'm interested in almost everything science and engineering related. Like recently I've been super interested in virology, before that astrophysics, before that archeology and paleontology at some point, not to mention biomedical engineering, also manufacturing is awesome and that's just a small sample there's many more

But I've been into robotics since high school when I was on a robotics team. I love physics and manufacturing and I like how they work together with electrical and computer engineering. And since biomedical robotics is something that is is exploding right now and since Im interested in biology and anatomy, as well as diseases and surgery, especially of people, it's all just perfect.

And yeah, we've been around since the first year, which is pretty awesome because we got to go to worlds every year automatically

we went to worlds our rookie year in like 2015 because we got rookie all star or whatever and we were doing the best we've ever done this year and then the whole season got cancelled because of corona we even almost won the chairman's award

Each FLL team is required to have 2 coaches. Coaches are responsible for running the team. They undergo background checks and need to be registered with FIRST.

Mentors help a team on a more informal basis. Some mentors attend all team meetings while others work out a less frequent schedule with the team.
