I used to hate being darker skinned but I feel prideful of it now. I was the only brown person in my school so I hated being darker. But then I moved to a school with a lot of minorities and my perception really changed. When I started to spend my time around people with a similar culture to me, it made me quite proud of where I was from, especially being from the South.

So embrace you skin colour amma. It's beautiful

me too actually. I still am basically the only brown person in my high school so
I've become so whitewashed it's not even funny, so I'm trying to embrace my skin colour and culture chellam this was very sweet of you to say, thank you <3

Instead of the dark purple I usually wear for summer (specifically Denver Pop Culture Con), I would go for a bright purple. I won't do that myself because I've never bleached my hair past the orange stage and I'd prefer to have a professional do that.
