Are perfect and gentlemen like, like aren't the rich ones jerks at the beginning. And a lot are kind of tsunderey. If anything the second lead treats the female lead more like a princess so why do some fans desire Koreans based on the male lead, like dudes a jerk.

To be fair normal Korean men probably aren't as attractive, and if niceness is equal to attractiveness then.... Honestly I feel that if an average looking dude does exactly what the male leads in kdramas does he would be called a jerk or a creep quicker.

people idolise koreans for some reson and male leads fill in the fantasy that the males are so nice and can do anything. that's also why some second leads get a ton attention too cause they are usually the super nice ones who do actually deserve the female lead.
+ people tend to love the jerk that is actually caring or the bad boy.

When I am watching Kdrama I forget the lead was such a jerk in the beginning because I am so focus on how hot he look. Whenever I watch anime or drama I tend to ignore my favorite character being a jerk. He could kill a whole village of innocent kids just cuz and I would still be fangirling.
